The Stitchers' Academy

If you have a love for quilting and sewing and want to learn or advance your skills, The Stitchers' Academy is the place for you.

I offer numerous classes for students at all sewing levels - from beginners to intermediate.

"Flamboyant" is the creation of Alvin Gomez and Vicki Niro. She is a wearable dress made from 320 yards of Duck Tape. 

Vicki Niro

owner of The Stichers' Academy worked as a paralegal and claims admistrator for 2 local law firms before becoming a stay at home mom with her 3 boys.

As her boys got older she stated working within the local sewing community as a teacher, sales person and a certified factory authorized technician for Handi Quilter, Longarm Quilting Machines. These opportunites allowed her to gain knowledge and share her love for the fabric and fiber industry.  During this time she fine tuned her seamstress skills and is now an accomplished seamstress with extensive alterations knowledge and experience.

She also worked as an independent contractor for a local fabric manufacturer, Quilting Treasures, a Division of Cranston Printworks. Where she was a published quilt maker and pattern designer.
