 MILLION Pillowcase Challenge 

The Stitchers' Academy has accepted the American Patchwork & Quilting       1 MILLION PILLOWCASE CHALLENGE.

 HOLD the DATE Sunday, October 10th, 11:00am - 4:00pm 

Last push to make as many pillowcases as we can. Plenty of FREE pillowcase kits available and studio sewing machines will be set up. Stop by for an hour or the whole afternoon. All pillowcases will be donate to local shelters in the Worcester area.We are making and accepting pillowcases that will be donated to local organizations in the Worcester County Area.

Our goal is to donate 100 pillowcases through out Worcester County.

More Than Clothe Exhibit

The "More Than Clothe" show was sponsored by the Stitchers’ Academy and participating artists include: Scott Niro; Pam Machamer; Judy Bachand; Helen Plassmann; Ron Nance; Todd Peckham; Beverly Tuson; Cindy Delacey; April-May Rosebrooks-Moser; Vicki Niro; Trish Miller; Nora Gibbs; Alvin Gomez

Works in cloth have moved from the utilitarian to standalone art objects. This collection provides a brief introduction to the fiber artists’ community of Worcester County. Works include traditional quilts, as well as contemporary fiber art. The viewer is encouraged in observe that fiber art is truly a mixed media art form. In addition to cloth and colored thread, photographic prints, paint, ink as well as sewn in objects are all available components to today’s fiber artist’s palet.
